COR is a 3-ply, semi-worsted spun yarn comprised of a 50/50 blend of American Cormo and American Corriedale fleece.  Farmed, Scoured, Milled and Dyed between New York and Pennsylvania, it is a beautiful small-chain product of the Northeast American Fibershed.

Details

  • Fingering Weight: 390 yards / 100 grams
  • 3-ply, semi-worsted spun
  • 50% American Cormo and 50% American Corriedale
  • Non-Superwash
  • Farmed in New York and Pennsylvania
  • Scoured at Clean Fleece, Mechanicville NY
  • Spun at Battenkill Fiber and Carding Mill, Greenwich NY
  • Dyed at Caledonian Dye Works, Philadelphia PA

COR is mixed with 5% dark Cormo fleece, giving the undyed base (Flock) its characteristic subtle gray undertone, and adding a unique depth of color to the dyed skeins.

Gauge

  • Gauge: approximately 6.25 - 7.5 stitches per inch
  • Suggested Needles: US 2 - 4 (2.75 - 3.5mm)
  • Suggested Hooks: US C/2 - F/5 (2.75 - 3.75mm)

The tool size is merely a suggestion based on most common use, but you can craft with tools outside of this range depending on the quality of fabric that you are looking for.

Gauge is an approximation. Everyones’ tension, and style differs, so test swatching is key when making fitted garments.

Care

This is a 100% natural fiber, non-superwash yarn. Hand wash only.

Soak in cool water in your favorite wool wash, gently remove excess water, and lay flat to dry.

Color

All efforts have been made to capture and represent true-to-life colors online, but everyones’ perceptions and devices vary. Current phones, tablets and screens with their brightness turned all the way up should give the most consistent representation of color.

Colors have been dyed with color fastness in mind, but there is always a chance of colors running when wet: most commonly with reds and blues. We would suggest using a color catcher or two the first time that you hand wash your finished garment.

Shipping

We aim to get shipments on their way to you as quickly as we can. Your packages should be in the mail within no more than 2-3 business days, and you will receive notification when they have been processed.
